Q - Do I need to own my property in order to have EEC Home Improvements work on my home?
A – For legal reasons, the owner of the property must authorise any alterations and home improvements to their property. Therefore if your property is rented or council, we would expect proof of consent from the property owner or the property owner must contact EEC Home Improvements direct.
Q - Are EEC Home Improvements Insurance backed?
A – Some products do include insurance backed guarantees. Our advisors can discuss this with you in more detail. All EEC’s home improvement work is covered by extensive public liability insurance so you can rest assured that you are in safe hands.
Q - Why do both partners have to be there for the home survey and quotation?
A – Home improvement decisions are really important. When we visit your home to provide a free written quote for home improvements work, you will need to decide things such as colours, styles, appearance, technical specifications and of course costs. This will allow EEC Home Improvements to provide an accurate quote that will be suitable for both partners, its best you are both involved (or a 3rd party if required) and you are both aware of any agreements before work begins.
Q - Can I receive a quote by email or over the phone?
A – In certain circumstances such as solar products we can provide a quotation over the phone. If you decide to go ahead with the quotation, we would also need to attend your property to make sure everything quoted was correct and the appropriate paperwork will need to be signed. With most home improvement products they are individually tailored and we work out costs to your exact requirements, so to receive an accurate cost please contact us to arrange a home improvement visit.
Q - How long will my home visit last?
A – Our home improvement surveys suit individual requirements so the length can vary. The visit should last no longer than 2 hours.

Q - Will we have signed contracts?
A – Before you agree for us to carry out any home improvements, we will provide you with a full quotation, this will include all work to be carried out and total costs of the work. Both parties need to sign the paperwork before work commences and all aspects of the work will be confirmed in writing. We also provide cancellation rights.

A – Our Head Office is based in Southport in the North West of England. We provide home improvement services nationwide including throughout Scotland, and the Isle of Skye. We have been trading from our head office in Southport since 1991.

Q - What deposit do I need to pay on my purchase?
A – The typical deposit amount at EEC Home Improvements is 25% of the total cost quoted. We provide a written, fixed price home improvement quote once we have completed our free no obligation home improvement survey. This will confirm how much deposit is required for that particular service.
Q - Do Solar Panels only work on sunny days?
A – No. Solar Panels absorb sunlight even on cloudy days. So while they work most efficiently in the summer when we have more hours of sunlight, they will still work all year round.
